About the roleWhat you need to know:The Complex Claims Adjuster - NAC Accounts serves as a liaison between Third Party Administrators (TPAs), local AIG claims teams and Network Partners across Latin America and the Caribbean to meet operational, financial, and service requirements for NAC Accounts (American Express, Mastercard and VISA accounts). 
This role provides guidance and enforces standards to achieve consistent results and adherence to AIG best practices.
As a Travel Claims Adjuster at AIG you will act with speed, composure, and knowledge to solve problems and lead TPAs in all aspects of the claims handling process.  Although the position is based in Puerto Rico, you will oversee claims for all LAC territories.  Some of the key responsibilities associate to the role are:    
Monitoring and enforcing an effective and efficient claims management process.Ensuring TPAs adhere to claims handling guidelines, comply with local rules/regulations applicable to the corresponding territory, and meet agreed SLAs and deliverables.Addressing TPA inquiries to guarantee consistency in policy interpretation and application.Reviewing and approving cases exceeding Third Party Administrators' authority limits. Hands-on involvement and monitoring of Accidental Death claims.Coordinating and overseeing SIU investigations and recovery efforts.Identifying and seeking clearance from AIG Compliance for cases involving sanctioned countries.Reviewing and processing TPA invoices in a timely and accurate manner, including monthly replenishment of escrow account for Mastercard program.Analyzing data and providing reports to stakeholders as required. What we're looking for:Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent with relevant experience.This position suits candidates with some experience as claims adjuster.Experience managing Travel claims is a must.Must be a licensed Claims Adjuster by the Insurance Commissioner's Office in Puerto Rico.  Experience working with Third Party Administrators is strongly preferred. Skills: Must possess clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities in both Spanish and English.  Strong technical claims competence and policy interpretation skills.Analytical and decision-making mind with in-depth knowledge of Travel claim concepts, practices, and techniques.Must have a strong orientation to problem solving and sense of urgency.Good time management skills – ability to manage and prioritize tasks.Ability to convey clear messages to internal and external stakeholders.Must be able to work in a high pace, team-oriented environment.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft O365 products (mainly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
