This position is responsible for assisting, supporting, and providing professional legal advice related to assigned matters, mainly related to mergers and acquisitions, treasury, fiduciary services, insurance and securities laws. The attorney should be familiar with federal and local banking regulatory laws and regulation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 13;
:
Support on M and A transactions within a fast paced and dynamic team.
:
Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business and financial transactions.

Creating and maintaining standard contract documentation for transactions.

Provide effective risk:based counsel to the business and support units on legal documents under Puerto Rico and federal laws, as applicable, including non:standard transactions.
:
Legal research and analysis related to complex regulations, including banking regulations, broker:dealer services and fiduciary issues involving investment advisers.
Minimum Education 13;
Juris Doctor Degree
Experience 13;
At least 5 years of experience working in a law firm with a focus on corporate, securities or insurance law. Experience working independently and collaborating with senior level officers preferred.
