SUMMARY OF POSITION : The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising the Receiving, Dispatch and Shipping personnel on their respective shifts. He/ She must ensure compliance with the Quality System, emphasizing an environment of teamwork, performance management, safety and good housekeeping. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Safety Promote a safe work environment for our employees. Perform accident investigations and document within 24 hrs. Conduct Monthly Safety Audits and identify hazardous observations. Ensure the non- hazardous waste and hazardous waste is handling according the EHS procedures. Support the waste reduction initiatives (waste elimination, reuse and recycling). Promote "Cuidandonos" and "Por Poco" within the group. Quality Prepare, review and update manufacturing SOP's. Participate in Surgeon's Table, initiate corrective actions, and follow up on its effectiveness as needed. Conduct monthly facility audit(s). Ensure that NCRs, CAPA and investigations are completed in less than 30 days. Service Responsible for the timely dispatch process and schedule completion to support Staples and Endac daily production. Monitor and audit Warehouse procedures to ensure correct practices are followed. Monitor and take the proper actions to support the Focus Factories in meeting their Net Requirements, Back Order numbers to assure that KPIs are met. Work closely with the Shipping Clerk and Finished Good Coordinator in the shipment and expedites of hot Finished Products to the DC. Cost Control costs by reducing overtime. Other Provide direct supervision and leadership to Material Handler and Inventory Clerks. Responsible for addressing and resolving employee concerns, whether directly or indirectly disclosed. Maintain a healthy work environment according to Medtronic Business Conduct (harassment, drug, conflict of interest, etc.). Promote and use the Recognition Program. Evaluate the performance of Warehouse personnel with support from the Logistics Manager. Complete performance evaluations on time. Perform Payroll weekly activities. Support Logistics Manager in Project Transfers. Understand Supply Chain pf the Warehouse area from receiving until the finished good is received in the DC. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Must observe all federal, state, and company EHS policies and regulations. Must follow the proper indications established in the related EHS SOP's. Follows and support all guidelines established in the organization for the implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS, QIP and other programs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Education required/ preferred: Bachelor Degree in Administration, Science or Engineering. Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a high volume or labor intensive manufacturing work environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
