General Description
Responsible of collecting, analyzing and reporting credit risk
information
to internal and external stakeholder
regarding
Popular's loan portfolios. This information allows management to
measure, manage and limit credit risk within the risk appetite of the Corporation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Managing data systems to collect, validate, organize and analyze data to summarize into key reports
Timely and accurate internal and external reporting, which meets accounting and stakeholders’ requirements
Collaborating with business units and Credit Risk departments to ensure the integrity of the credit risk information, such as NPLs and TDRs
Collaborating with Comptroller’s Division to ensure reporting standards conform with regulatory guidance and internal controls
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with Accounting or Finance major.
Experience
Minimum of two
years of experience
in a similar position in a financial institution or accounting firm; preferably in work related to credit,
portfolio monitoring and analysis, and/or credit quality measurement
.
Certifications / Licenses
No certifications or license needed.
Functional Skills
Knowledge on financial analysis and general accounting to evaluate and interpret credit risk information
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
A high level of organization and ability to quickly adapt to changing in priorities
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining the quality of work and meeting deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Proficient in English and Spanish (oral and written)
Understanding of loan applications: CL2000, IDA, ILS, MSP
Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
