This position:
Responds to employees and managers on HR-related inquiries, including policy and procedural guidance and interpretation. Identifies potential employment legislation issues and responds appropriately, escalating issues as necessary.
Provides HR support to managers in relation to employee issues, including performance management - coaching and counseling, disciplinary processes, termination meetings, development opportunities, employee leave of absence counseling and exit interviews.
Communicates and supports Human Resources initiatives/objectives in a timely and effective manner. Coordinates the effective and efficient communication of department needs to appropriate HR leadership and ensures the timely fulfillment of these needs,
Assists in providing human resource solutions to departments based on data and analysis and consistent with existing human resource policy and legal and contractual constraints.
Escalates to supervisor when policy and contractual constraints inhibit issue resolution and may recommend changes and improvements to existing policies and procedures.
Coordinates seamless service with staff (Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Enterprise Initiatives, HR Technology).
Responsible for administration of employee payroll preparation.
May participate in investigations.
Other duties as assigned.
