Job Description The Insurance Associate is responsible for handling all claims to insurance agencies related to repossessed units and customers (Unearned Insurance Premium, Damages and Total Loss) as well as following up on payments due from insurance companies. Also, ensure all units are covered with an insurance policy. Requirements Requirements: -Bachelor-s Degree is preferred; a minimum of 2-4 years- experience in a similar position; or at least 1year experience negotiating and settling automobile claims. -Adjuster or similar certifications and/or licenses are preferred, however not required to perform the duties previously exposed. -Preferably, have a comprehensive knowledge of auto loan, as well as a broad knowledge of insurance products, claims and services. -Attention to details and excellent quality. -Strong time management and organization skills, ability to be responsive to company needs and to meet deadlines. -Ability to problem solve and use time effectively in order to multitask and prioritize work including ability to handle rush or unexpected assignments. -Resourceful, energetic, driven, structured, and displaying a strong desire to take initiative. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and working knowledge of common application software. -Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Spanish. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply by any measure, integers, fractions, and decimals.
