Description:
The IT Specialist monitors and maintains the computer systems and network of the organization. The position requires installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems either in person or remotely.
The position requires flexible work hours which could include nights and weekends. Also travel on occasions to other company sites. The employee could also support the organization’s clients on an as needed bases in IT related issues.
Responsibilities of the job include:
Install, configure, troubleshoot, diagnose and offer ongoing maintenance to workstations, peripherals, applications, mobile devices and networking equipment
Troubleshoot and support workstations, network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc.
Monitor security systems activity
Written documentation to include Policies and Procedures, User manuals, etc.
Keep corporate directories up to date
Assist new personnel in the induction process to the company, or introduce new services to the staff as it relates to IT
Support other IT needs in the company
Travel to other locations when necessary to troubleshoot problems or install new hardware and software
Required skills:

Technical skills:
Experienced in hardware, software and network troubleshooting
Proficient in the following Microsoft products
Windows 7, 8, 10 (Advanced)
Windows Sever from 2008 - 2019
Active Directory (Advanced)
Office 365 Administration
SharePoint Administration (Advanced)
Exchange Administration
Excel (Advanced)
PowerShell
Proficient in iOS
Hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
Proficient in VoIP technologies
Knowledge of software development
Experience working with Sophos solutions preferred

Qualifications and training:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in information technologies related field
Industry certifications preferred
2+ years’ experience in information technology
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously
Effective written and verbal communication skills (Spanish and English)
Knowledge of hardware/software technology and concepts
