Laboratory Analyst/Chemist – Mayagüez

Descripción del Empleo:
The candidate will assist with sample preparation, performing lab support functions, and support lab improvement projects. Perform intake and preparation of cannabis and hemp samples for analytical testing. Assist in data acquisition and report preparation for cannabinoid potency, terpene potency, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, among others. Assist with the upkeep and improvement of elements of the quality management system and our training program. Will require to follow Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and Puerto Rico Department of Health guidelines, working safely and effectively in a clean-room environment. Professional services contract.

Requisitos:
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. 2+ years of experience in analytical techniques and analytical equipment operation (HPLC, GC, GPC, FT-IR, UV-Visible, Karl Fisher, pH Meter, conductivity meter, colorimeter, osmometer, among others) in a quality assurance laboratory. Availability for second shift, extended hours and weekends. Experience following SOPs, GMPs, GLPs and Safety regulations Computer literate in Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Good oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English. Must be comfortable working with cannabis and hemp and at least 21 years old. Willing to authorize a background check. PR Chemistry Licence is preferred.
