This position is a Seasonal full-time position directly responsible for managing field operations as well as interacting with office personnel. The foreman position is responsible for installation and/or property maintenance. Requires accurate record keeping, submittal of daily paperwork, and accurate cost accounting of daily labor. This position requires the ability to handle complex jobs, specialty equipment, and resolve customer concerns. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. This position is also responsible for producing quality landscape services that meet or exceed the expectations of both the client and Dakota OutdoorScapes Inc.
This is an outdoor job with exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, and is physically demanding work. The Company strives to maintain a 40-hour work week, this job will occasionally require overtime and weekends.
Duties & responsibilities
· Licensure/Certification
o Valid driver’s license
· Experience
o 3 or more years of landscape foreman experience
o Ability to manage and direct 2-3 people
o Ability to operate basic equipment (skid loader, trencher, small hand tools)
· Leadership
o Professional appearance-clean uniform shirts, personal attire and appropriate PPE
o Able to follow all company policies and able to complete paperwork in a timely manner
o Reliable/Dependable
o Maintains assigned company tools and equipment in good working order including daily maintenance
o Responsible for training of crew and assisting with companywide training
o Maintain a safe and clean worksite at all times
o Responsible to assist manager in evaluating and reviewing crew members
· Communication
o Ability to actively communicate with company personnel, clients and any other work related issues
o Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic English
o Responsible for maintaining accurate time records for labor, equipment and assigned jobs using appropriate task codes
· Capabilities/Skills
o Hardscape installation experience, must have knowledge of paver installation as well as block wall installations or retaining walls
o Knowledge of proper landscape maintenance including pruning, fertilization, weed control, irrigation adjustments, etc
o Ability to read and interpret landscape/irrigation plans and specifications
o Responsible for verifying accuracy/quality of all materials supplies to job site
o Ability to safely drive/load truck & trailer and other equipment
o Ability to use Google maps and efficiently find locations around the local area
o Knowledge of Landscape lighting & Irrigation systems
o Determine proper grades for adequate drainage

Job Summary

Drug screening, Background checks (post hire).
Starting wage $23-25 per Hour, depending on experience. Possible overtime when required.
A single workweek is used to compute wages due, paid weekly.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
