POSITION SUMMARY

Perform manufacturing process to cover production requirements in compliance with the established quality standards.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
Applies safety policies and GMP knowledge in daily operations involving self and other team members [i.e., Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) utilization, housekeeping, gowning, good documentation practices].
Assures that all components and equipment are ready for manufacturing when needed. Setting up , loading & unloading, cleaning and operating equipment such as blenders, compressing machines, coaters. Operates analog and digital controls and instruments on the manufacturing equipment.
Perform cleaning procedures in the manufacturing rooms, equipment and general area as per respective SOP(s).
Monitor operating parameters and physical attributes of product/process during each respective manufacturing steps.
Address and notify process deviations immediately and participate in troubleshooting with other team members.
Assists routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs and provides support to basic troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment and instruments.
Executes manufacturing operations such as:weighting, granulation, compression, capsules filling, coating or other manufacturing operations in the manufacturing area
Operate the area:run, changeovers, documentation, etc.
Responsible for cleaning and organization of the working area, machines and rooms at the beginning and at end of run.
Executes according to the instructions established on the manufacturing record and SOP’s.
Executes and document the IMEx elements (standard work, role cards, change overs, 5S, visual boards, CL and CIL) as established.
Perform on timely data entry to AMPS, SAP, PEPs Systems
Complete documentation in manufacturing records.
Verify processes and documentation during the manufacturing process.
Performs operator care/autonomous maintenance:Cl and CIL activities.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma with 5 years as a Pharmaceutical Operator
Associate Degree with 3 years as Pharmaceutical Operator
Bachelor’s degree with no experience
Computer skills
Ability to read and understand Spanish/English
Must be able to perform simple arithmetic reasoning and basic metric system

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Will report any malfunction in emissions control equipment, any deterioration or fiber release episode of Asbestos containing material (thermal insulation systems), any failure in spill control systems and/or any spill that may occur, to supervisor and/or EHS personnel, in accordance to established procedures.
Supports the Company's EHS Programs following established policies and procedures, and Corporate EHS Guidelines, and will be trained in all applicable EHS procedures and regulations that apply to specific job functions.
Will ensure that any waste (hazardous, non-hazardous or special waste) generated as part of his/her responsibilities are handled in compliance with applicable environmental regulations and in accordance to established SOP's for handling waste.
