In addition, must execute some laboratory tests and help maintain examination rooms.ResponsibilitiesVerbally verify patient information.Schedule appointments and handle all legal procedures regarding surgeries, examinations, or other operations.Gather information necessary before examination including measurements, physical tests, and medical history.Work hard to maintain confidentiality of patients records to inspire confidence in the patient that their information is safe.Communicate with patients about what the treatment entails.Perform basic on-site laboratory tests.Maintain medical supplies by disposing of contaminated substances, sterilizing any instruments, and ensuring functionality of equipment.Order equipment to replace anything that is damaged or contaminated.Keep waiting rooms clean.QualificationsA high school diploma or its equivalent.Completion of a formal program in medical assisting.Proof of medical assistant certification or experience.Be polite and pleasant to others, this includes good hygiene.Must have enough understanding of treatment procedures to comprehensively explain then to patients.
