Metrologist (Temporary Assignment)

Descripción del Empleo:
• You will perform dimensional and visual inspections following applicable written inspection instructions, drawings and other pertinent instructions on parts tools, gages and required equipment.
• Use variety of fixed and variable instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well-defined to check dimensions and record results.
• Utilize inspection measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, thread gauges, plug gauges, comparators, CMM’s etc.)
• Identify and Report non-conformances of product or processes-based specifications.
• Records data on excel and or SPC (statistical process control) programs.
• Ability to read and interpret plastic parts drawings and specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned, based on business needs.
Requisitos:
• Associate Degree or equivalent in experience, Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in inspection and/or measurement of plastic components or similar position.
• Knowledge in metrology equipment such as optical comparators, calipers and indicators among others.
• Preferred experience with the use of CMM’s and knowledge in validations.
• Available to work night shifts and weekends.
• A Practical Test, performing visual inspections looking for defects and measurements with variety of instruments will be provided during the interview process. Satisfactory execution is required to be considered.
