Metrology Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(A summary of the purpose of the position)

1. Utilizes calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements.

2. Determine the kind of measurement tools and equipment needed to do a job.

3. Perform routine maintenance and calibration on equipment and determine when and what kind of calibration and maintenance is needed.

4. Use mathematics to solve measurement related problems.

5. Conduct test and inspections of products, services, or process to evaluate quality or performance.

6. Analyzes and interprets results of measurements and calibrations using mathematical formulas and documents results of measurements and calibrations on calibration certificates and calibration correction charts. Must be capable of observing critically to obtain and document clear, concise, and accurate data

REQUIREMENTS:(A summary of the purpose of the position)

1. Associate's Degree in Metrology or a related Electronic or Engineering Technology field, such as Physics, Math, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Electronic Technology.

2. BS, Electronics or Engineering Technology area preferred.

3. 6 years of relevant industry experience in a regulated environment, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech operations, with a thorough working knowledge of cGMPs, or equivalent

4. Experience with primary standards calibrations using:fluke 5522A, Fluke 8858A, Agilent Multimeter 8.5 digits. Experience

5. Experience with humidity chambers and "masas de pesos muertos"
