Main Activities/Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the direct sales growth of paint systems and sundry items for Matthews Paint Company (MPC) in order to optimize product line development of market share increase in his/her geographic area of responsibility. Responsible for the direct sales growth of paint systems and sundry items for Matthews Paint Company (MPC) in order to increase market share within his/her geographic area of responsibility. Development of target identification, territory sales growth, and directing the utilization of the MPC distributor's territory sales representatives in order to promote Matthews Paint sales increases. Incumbent provides customer service to distributors, end users, direct users, amusement park/ fabrication utilizing MPC products within the sign and amusement markets. Incumbent provides technical sales support and/or leadership to key accounts across territories. Incumbent serves as a mentor and paint sales consultant to distribution's territory sales members and a sales training resource for the distributor's customer service teams. Incumbent will utilize the resources of the MPC field technical representatives when and where needed to support paint development and increased usage. Attend MPC Sales/training meetings, all distributor open houses within the territory, National ISA Show, and regional trade shows within and direct support of their territory. Responsible for the full attendance of the Matthews training classes held within the territory. Full compliance of required monthly sales reports, expense reports, and PPG required training programs submitted on or before required completion dates. Position services Florida, Southern AL and Southern MS LI-JG2 Experience and Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience. Requires a minimum 5 years proven record of accomplishment in growing territory sales or coatings technical service role, which demonstrate technical application and resolution skills. Functional and Technical Skills (Skills & Knowledge): Must possess consultative selling skills and be able to effectively work with all levels of management from painters to senior management.
