Job Description

Responsible to maintainpolicies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues. Understands the inter-working of the other architectural components, such as services and batch processes, and how they interact with the database.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related
field or equivalent work experience.
· Must have at least 2 – 4 years’ experience in Database Administration.
· Skilled with replications: types, components supported on SQL Server
· Familiarity with checkpoints and recovery models for databases and their importance
· Develops and designs stored procedures, routines, tables and triggers.
· Creation of data reports to support business and operational needs
. Understands difference between system database, user database and model database
· Knowledge how to support different types of upgrades in SQL Server
· Supports, maintains, designs, monitors and implements databases.
· Frequently tunes servers for optimal performance, capacity and efficiency.
· Transfers data in and out of the servers / databases as necessary to meet business and operational objectives.
· Develops, implements and maintains database interfaces for data transmission to internal systems and/or vendors.
· Performs tasks related to Disaster Recovery. Including but not limited to environment design and configuration.
