Responsibilities: Performs preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on commercial kitchen equipment and Refrigeration systems. Reads and interprets instructions and safety procedures associated with Commercial Kitchen processes. Installs and dismantles diverse items and equipment, trains kitchen personnel on the proper operation of the equipment. Performs checks on motors and belts and handles lubrication duties. Cleans, maintains, and repairs ice machines and water fountains including the change of water filters. Inspects, maintains, and repairs the cafeteria building facilities (walls, flooring, ceiling, HVAC diffusers, doors, furniture Inspects, repairs, and replaces plumbing fixtures (water faucets, sinks, toilets, drain systems, others) Keeps an adequate inventory of spare parts and filters for the cafeteria equipment. Recommends additions or deletions to stock. Responds to emergency situations and mitigates or solves issues on an immediate basis. Ability to determine whether a part of a system or the system as a whole can be repaired or will need to be replaced. Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders. Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Strictly follows company's safety and cGMP policies and procedures. Performs additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor or maintenance coordinator to support normal operations. Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills: Vocational degree or technical degree; Refrigeration discipline will be required or High school diploma with 2+ years of equipment or facilities maintenance experience required or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  Active Licensed Refrigeration Technician awarded by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico EPA Universal Certification ????Physical Requirements and Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment's, tools, or controls.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell.  The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
