Accountable for providing managerial oversight and leadership to manufacturing OSD operations (Manufacturing) areas at night shifts (3rd shift). Also accountable for providing guidance to all manufacturing processes in order to meet production requirements with the compliance requirements. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations, regulatory/compliance requirements, and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function. Responsibilities: Provides managerial oversight to Night Shifts (3rd shift) OSD manufacturing operations in manufacturing area including Building 41 and Building 6. Assures that all operations on Night Shifts are being conducted in compliance with Safety, Quality and Compliance Standards and Regulations. Leads the operation and facilitates decision-making and resolution of issues related to manufacturing activities. Ensures the production scheduling on night shifts by assuring the coordination with manufacturing managers /supervisors, area planners and quality personnel, to organize and comply with production goals. Leads the Night Shifts weekly meeting, gather requirements and provide daily status reports of the Night Shifts Operations Assures a streamlined and continuous operation during the Night Shifts in OSD manufacturing operations. Leads the Night Shifts activities as the manufacturing representative and works with area leads to gather requirements. Collaborate with functional area leads to resolve issues / constraints during the Night Shifts. Provides leadership to the Manufacturing Leaders working in the Night Shifts. Supports productivity initiative programs by identifying efficiencies in the operational areas and providing reurces to support productivity teams. Supports technology transfer activities, equipment qualification, process validation, troubleshooting clinical lots production, and process optimization by providing the necessary resources and process expertise. Monitors, evaluates and communicates area performance metrics for processes, cost and quality control. Improves current processes in order to optimize product efficiency/yields including Overtime spending control Supports the creation and revision of SOPs, special test protocols and related documents to assure compliance with cGMPs, company policies/procedures and documentation practices. Maintains control of all environmental issues in manufacturing areas. Supports the preparation of the department budget and effectively manages company funds and actives, with focus on expenses related to Night Shifts manufacturing operations. Supports Productivity initiative programs by identifying efficiencies in the Operational areas and providing resources to support Productivity teams. Supports the monitoring, evaluation and communication of area performance metrics for processes, cost and quality control. Promotes and model the BMS Core Behaviors, facilitating teamwork, providing coaching and feedback, as needed. Supports all site Initiatives and any other assignments based on business needs. Knowledge/Skill: BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Pharmacy or related sciences Eight (8) years of experience in OSD manufacturing within pharmaceutical environment and four(4) of them in a managerial/supervisory position Extensive knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes associated with OSD Mfg Operations Proven strong leadership skills while maintaining effective communication and interactions with superiors and colleagues Teamwork oriented ability with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong business sense; understanding of and capability to support both financial and total quality objectives. Assertiveness and uncompromising attitude with regard to the quality and safety standards applied in the day-to day activities.
