Acts in a leadership role providing engineering support and technical expertise for GMP and non-GMP utilities systems, and related equipment. This role will champion a sustainability focused mentality where environmental impact becomes part of the day-to-day decision making. By working closely with cross-functional team disciplines, this role will ensure that the iPR manufacturing facility upholds and works towards leading and executing projects on new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay green and improve carbon footprint, water consumption, waste generation, circularity and recycling. Plays a key role in sustainability program, including the support to the strategy development, project/process improvements and representing the site on regional or global forums.Responsible for leading and maintaining, as applicable, process improvement of the Engineering Department, including digital systems/platforms such as: AZ-SHE System, SAP (Finance, Maintenance, Calibration), Asset Life Cycle Management, Site Master Plan, Department Scorecard, with all sub-systems related to collect the data, Key Performance Indicators, dashboards, BMS, SABA and others. Is also the system owner for Utilities systems such as BMS and Power Logic, PBi's, among others. Responsible for developing and maintaining a sustainable obsolescence program for these systems. Lean Champion for the Engineering Department, promoting a continuous improvement culture. Works with the implementation and monitoring of projects/process improvements, including the development of Business Cases (benefit, return on investment, impact, etc). Serves as Business Process Owner and the governance for TPM program and executes/deliver the TPM strategy as per site goals targets. May serve as a backup for Utilities Facilitators and/or CMT/BCP and Risk management programs.
Typical Accountabilities Support the Engineering Site Strategy development and project planning for the site (e.g. 5-yearplan), including areas for LTO, innovation, process improvements, resources planning and business cases justification.Coordinate and lead department meetings and/or Kaizen events that drive process improvements.Implement sustainability strategy on-site, with emphasis on environmental protection.Analyze and report out utility consumption (Energy and Water) as well as waste generation and costs.Consult with industry network to identify innovative technologies to advance sustainability goals.Organize efforts to work towards external sustainability certifications for the site- i.e. ISO140001, ISO50001, LEED.Serve as the BPO for TPM. Execute and deliver the TPM strategy as per site goals targets.Maintain visual KPI's and dashboard at the utilities area.Serve as a backup for the planning and forecast of budget and accrual purposes, including renewal RNG/LNG forecast contracts.Develop and monitor Sustainability targets.Serve as a backup for the following programs: CMT, BCP, Risk Management, Site Master Plan.Supports department cost monitoring process (budget, RBU, accruals, etc.) vs. plan monthly.Ensure to have the departmental scorecard, dashboards, and Power BI's always updated.May lead, manage, or provide support to projects and initiatives that will include business case preparation, planning, execution, and monitoring projects/initiatives from concepts to the implementation.Prepare consolidated annual budget, RBU's and MTP forecast, including financial cost monitoring adherence monthly for expenditure and capital revenue for all BUs of Engineering Department.Serve as a designated representative on environmental and sustainability forums.Establish relationships and influencing with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with project/programs objectives.Prepares presentation for management reports and implement online management reports on key performance parameters.Evaluate and monitor the performance and efficiency of key systems/programs or platforms to assure they are on target and in compliance, such as SAP, AZ_SHE System, PBI dashboards, ALCM, regulatory (e.g. GVLMS) and others.Support on PO's, SE's, Accruals and Cost Monitoring vs. Budget or RBUs by BUs for Engineering Department Accounts and Cost Centers.Play a key role on the ALCM program for the site, including prioritization as per 5-year strategy with main objective to reduce or eliminate them from site Risk register. Essential Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of six (6) years related experience and/or training. Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with emphasis in manufacturing, packaging, utilities, infrastructure, and related equipment (including automation). Project management experience and proficiency required. Knowledge and understanding of validation and qualification principles, project management, and change control principles. Ability to understand and apply financial analysis to make good decisions in a manufacturing environment.
Language:Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business (Business insight), professional industry trend, including SHE area /technical/GMP and government regulations. Ability to write business cases, project proposals, plans, budgets and relate project documents. Ability to write technical (both high and low level) specifications, procedures, plan, and reports. Ability to effectively present technical information and respond to questions from group of peers, managers, and customers/stakeholders.
