The Procurement Project Lead is responsible for overall procurement project and process management, and for ensuring that: Procurement projects are delivered on schedule and on budget; Procurement projects are completed to client satisfaction; Procurement projects are fully documented and compliant; Procurement projects are supported by the appropriate resources; and Management of procurement project schedules. Operational Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate assigned tasks to ensure they are completed on time and on budget. Organize and plan procurement project tasks, resources, and schedules. Establishment and management of procurement project schedules. Communicate procurement project status to stakeholders and key participants. Ensure prompt response to client communications and requests. Work with client and stakeholders to develop and document understanding of client's goals, objectives, and risks, and prioritize available resources and schedule accordingly. Facilitate and encourage collaboration across service lines to ensure projects are completed successfully, when necessary. Appropriately delegate, assign, and monitor work to staff based on skills and expertise. Manage efficient use of resources and time to ensure timeliness of client deliverables. Optimize procurement project deliverables, schedule, and budgeting to best leverage available resources (both company and client). Responsible for evaluation, maintenance, and management of all project/client data, and for ensuring all staff comply with company policies and procedures related to project/client data and documentation. Create and maintain reports to communicate procurement project status (both company and client). Notify leadership of any issues or concerns that may require their notification or involvement. Work with SMEs to complete QA/QC of project deliverables prior to submission to client. Administrative Responsibilities: Monitor client engagements for opportunities to add or expand service to clients. Develop and maintain project documents and task orders for client projects/work. Initiate and maintain appropriate coordination with other service lines for client needs and satisfaction. Understand and ensure staff have appropriate technology and tools for job and task completion. Provide feedback to staff regarding ways to enhance/increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ensure completion of procurement project closeout and archive records upon project completion. Situational adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and other work technologies. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field. Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Supply Chain Management or Procurement is preferred. At least six years procurement-related experience desired, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role required. Extensive experience in procurement, including a deep understanding of procurement principles, processes, and best practices. Proficiency in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and procurement risk management. Strong project management skills. Experience in developing project plans, defining project scope, allocating resources, managing budgets, and mitigating risks. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus. Solid understanding of procurement-related technologies and tools including procurement software systems (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement platforms), data analytics tools, and electronic sourcing platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools to make data-driven decisions, optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings. Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying complex procurement concepts and strategies to diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, project team members, suppliers, and internal clients. Candidates should be adept at preparing clear and concise reports and presentations. Bilingual (Spanish and English), both oral and written. Must reside in Puerto Rico. Working conditions: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm). Sometimes needed to work outside of regular work hours (evenings, weekends, etc.).
