Program Manager, Education

Job Description Summary: The Program Manager - Education (PM) will be responsible for the overall management of all education programs and will be the technical expert supporting Save the Children’s Hurricane Maria relief and recovery efforts. The PM, in collaboration with the DTL Programs, will prioritize and plan assessment of education facilities serving our target age-range and will contribute to the development of the childcare and school response and recovery plan. The PM will identify and build strategic partnerships with education partners (including school boards, child care networks, after-school programs, etc.) to support in assessment and identification of critical unmet needs. S/he will also support the sub grant process for any education partners. The position will report to the Deputy Team Leader, Programs. Required Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of program management Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects Excellent English and Spanish communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Resource management, training, capacity building, coaching, and mentoring skills. Willingness to work in difficult environment and travel according to requirements. Strong people management skills/experience and proven ability to create an environment which encourages team-working and motivates a team across various geographical areas. Good analytical skills.
