This position is collaborative and will require ability to work well within a group of leaders under the direction of the Program Director in a Utility Power EPC environment. The candidate must be able to lead electric distribution and/or transmission project teams and manage projects directly (as necessary) up to midrange complexity, magnitude, volume or impact. Additionally, the Program Manager may be required to manage certain aspects of a program (as assigned) while other program managers handle interfacing roles. Duties will include ensuring all financial, scheduling, contract and communication expectations of the Client, Company and other stakeholders are met. Technology and automation are important to the success within the program environment; applicants with specialized programming skills may be considered first. Essential Functions of Position: Duties include but are not limited to: Program leadership Program Manager is responsible to lead project teams in successful execution of the project, acting as primary project advocate and communications point Project team coordination Establish and monitor internal and external working linkages between Client, Project Team, company disciplines and departments Program proposal development Ensure a clear understanding by all disciplines of the bid documents Facilitate the proposal development, compilation and delivery process Ensure a clear understanding of all Terms and Conditions by the proposal team Facilitate a legal review by TRC Legal Staff prior to contract signing Program resource management Negotiate with and manage subcontractors, when applicable Negotiate with and manage materials suppliers, when applicable Monitor and report budgeted man-hours at the discipline level Advocate for internal resource prioritization Program financial management Ensure the project's budgeted costs and profits are met or improved Ensure timely and comprehensive change order management, capturing all costs Facilitate efficient project billing, working within company's Accounting practices Program schedule management Utilize scheduling tools (ie. MS-Project and Primavera P6) to control and communicate project progress Program administration Oversee the administration of all project documentation Program communication Effectively deliver status reports to Client as required Facilitate Client/Project team communications, meeting Client expectations Facilitate internal project communications between all disciplines and departments Effectively deliver status reports to Principals and Management as required Program safety Ensure project safety is a priority Ensure company safety policies are adhered to Ensure specific Client safety requirements are met and exceeded Education and/or Experience- A Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; 10/- years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Utility or Professional engineering environment experience preferred. Certifications, licenses, registrations: PE and/or PMP potential preferred. Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced computer skills and abilities with applicable software applications (project management, spreadsheet and word processing, MS suite preferred). In addition to this, it is preferred that the candidate be well versed in at least one common computer programming language, and have a willingness to develop further skills as necessary.
