Safety Coordinator (Industrial/Manufacturing)

Whom we’re looking for, We’re looking for a full-time commercial construction Safety Coordinator with five years of experience in the construction industry. This position requires frequent travel to our job sites around the Island.

Here’s what you’ll do,
Uphold the company’s core safety values
Build working relationships with clients, staff and subcontractors
Contribute to the development of the overall project safety program
Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist on a Job site with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Superintendent and Subcontractors
Hold planning meetings with subcontractors to review overall site safety program and job hazard analysis for their scope of work
Manage time and resource allocation to provide overall safety leadership to assigned project(s)
Requisitos:
What required skills and qualifications should you have?
• Candidate must possess BLDM core values: Never Shirk, Service Above All Else, Prepare for Success, Firm but Fair and Work Hard/Play Hard
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related field preferred
• 5 years of experience working as Health and Safety Professional Project and Industrial Pharmaceutical Environments.
• 30 hrs. OSHA Construction Industry Certification from PR-OSHA (OSHA 510).
• OSHA 500 for Instruction in Construction Industry (OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification from an OSHA Authorized Training Center).
• Technical working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA ANSI
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish oral and written.
• Proficiency using MS office
