Overview Cayenta is seeking an Account Manager to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to travel in a designated territory, learn new technology and work with a reputable company backed by a knowledgeable team. The incumbent will identify the needs of the customer, demonstrate the benefits of the software and present the Cayenta computers solution portfolio to local government enterprises, growing the customer base in their territory (to be defined) as well as enhancing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive, self-starter who is interested in finding the best solution to fit the needs of our customers. Details The primary function of the Account Manager is to assist Cayenta in meeting the expectations of existing clients for costing out, budgeting for and generating work orders for activities such as software upgrades, new functionality mods, third party product tie-ins, etc. This position will act as the first point of contact for clients concerning their ongoing functionality needs. A major portion of time will be dedicated to discussing needs with clients, gathering information within the organization in order to address needs, assisting with the handover of work to other Company groups, and monitoring the work to ensure completion and client satisfaction. The position requires at least 25% travel to client sites throughout North America (Canadian or US citizenship required). Meet pre-defined Sales targets. Responsible for regular and effective communication with assigned clients to ensure functionality needs and requests are being anticipated and dealt with in a timely manner. Be knowledgeable on high-level Cayenta product functionality and contractual documentation to ensure needs are properly scoped and expectations set before signatures are taken. Organize and attend software demonstrations, making sure that functionality issues are discussed, addressed and documented. Participate in regularly scheduled Support calls with clients, as needed. Create and maintain a forecast of expected sales to existing clients. Attend, and possibly present, at the week-long annual Harris Customer Training Conference. Assist with the coordination of, and attend, on-site client User Group meetings as scheduled. Job Requirements 3 to 4 years of application consulting and/or sales experience (preferably within a software environment). Strong problem solving skills. Must be able to analyze information to make independent decisions quickly and effectively. Detailed oriented and conscientious about meeting expectations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to function at a high level within a matrixed organization. Ability to carry out multiple tasks within a defined time frame. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or Information Systems preferred. Monitor on-going projects with live clients and escalate issues if necessary.
