POSITION DESCRIPTION Gain market share by promoting, selling, and servicing Medtronic's products. This position supports Diabetes Therapies in the areas of business development, Market Access plan execution and private Key Accounts sales by the implementation of innovative business models and generating strategic partnerships with diverse key stakeholders and institutions. Provides clinical support and expertise to different stockholders. ________________________________________ POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and execution of regional commercial strategy: Conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic's products and services to existing and competitive customers. Implement quarterly sales plan and achieve sales goals and objectives. Advanced/Expert technical knowledge of diverse Medtronic products and support sales efforts of same, specifically in the area of diabetes therapy and products. Target public institutions and private hospitals Develop relationship with KOL's Promote and develop new products introduction and market penetration Design and execute key marketing and business development strategies Complete administrative reporting as assigned (for example: expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, competitive updates, and inventory log). Provide ongoing field intelligence reports on competitive activity, changes in markets, distribution, and pricing, as well as input on customer preferences and product features. Cost-effectively manage time and assets. Effectively utilize sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs. Train and educate both existing and competitive customers to gain incremental business. Maintain proficient level of product knowledge in all assigned product lines. Advise customers on a continuing basis regarding performance of assigned products. Perform additional duties in line with company business requirement Travel requirements (Regional and International): 40-60% Operating mechanisms: Develop and maintain close direct collaboration with partners Build strong relationship and collaboration with local MDT organization to ensure structured/coordinated market development plan execution. Actively participate and contribute to PR's business operations planning. Identifies and implements process improvements: Independently lead cross functional and cross-geography product development project from a marketing perspective Design and implement methods to collect voice of customer feedback to drive business decisions. Advises stakeholders involved in setting up or evaluating operations in their hospitals or clinics. Maintains current knowledge regarding Medtronic programs, products and services and competitive products. Maintains open, effective communication with all office personnel, customers and other Medtronic employees. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Degree in Business Administration, Biology, Life Sciences or related field is preferred. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Sales Rep II Min of 3 years sales experience in medical/healthcare sales SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Advance proficiency in English and Spanish (read, write, speak) Proven strong commercial and business acumen skills (analytical / strategic) with the strategic vision to drive and maximize profitability Marketing experience or demonstration of project work. Proven ability to influence and develop relationship with both internal and external customers including the field team, physicians and key decision makers. Prior field sales experience Marketing communications experience Strong proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently Prior experience in fast-paced office with multiple priorities. Excellent presentations skills. Responsive, action-oriented and innovative problem solver PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS I. Medical device sales experience SDL2017
