Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of manufacturing and spare parts inventory. Accountable for leading the site fixed assets activities, including but not limited to accuracy of applicable system (SAP- Property Accounting) and for monitoring Capital Investments, projects close out and disposal asset requests (DAR's), depreciation and compliance with SOX activity controls. This position must comply with all Security Guidelines, Environmental Health & Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices by the job function. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs the analysis of fixed assets which include the following duties: Analyzes Construction in Progress (CIP) account Completes fixed assets capitalizations and reviews of useful life assumptions following the Fixed Assets Simplification Transformation methodology(FAST) Maintains properly documentation of Project review and analysis(Projects quarterly review, commitment report review, meetings review minutes and other pertinent documentation) Handles Disposal of Assets Report (DAR's) and fixed assets transfers. Coordination and reconciliation of fixed assets inventory as required by internal controls Budget and projections preparation (fixed assets and Inventory). Prepares Capital Projects Financial Analysis (ROI, Payback, IRR, etc) Serves as liaison with the Global Fixed Assets Team Prepares statistics to monitor the progress of capital projects closing Responsible for the analysis and reporting of Long Live Impairment and Asset Retirement Obligations. Performs the analysis of spare parts inventory which include the following duties: Monitoring of spare parts spending and compliance with internal controls. Monthly reconciliation of Accounting System (SAP) and the Maintenance System (MAXIMO). Monitoring of the inventory cycle count program including random spot checks to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, analysis of obsolescence and coordination of ABC analysis based on current Standard Operating Procedure (SOP.) Preparation of Budget and projections Serve as liaison with the third party vendor managing BMS spare parts inventory. Performs the analysis of manufacturing inventory, including but not limited to: Performing accounts analysis and reconciliation including inventory accounts and reserves. Analyzing Inventory details for budget and projections (ending balances, reserves, write-off and revaluations.) Monitoring of inventory transactions in SAP. Calculation of the Inventory Obsolescence Reserve. Coordination and verification of the ABC classification as per SOP. Preparation of monthly closing analysis including write–off account reconciliation, inventory reserve and inventory revaluation. Monitoring of inventory adjustments (excluding transactions related to sales) and the inventory cycle counts program including random spot checks to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Represent the Finance function in the Material Review Board and driving the process from the financial point of view. Maintains internal control procedure for fixed assets, inventory control and spare parts inventory as well as ensure compliance with SOX. Calculates financial impact of CI initiatives. Provides the information necessary for taxes provision and/or analysis. Provides support to departments-budget & projection preparation and financial results. Performs special analyses and participates in special projects as deemed necessary. Performs as back-up of the Reporting and Non-manufacturing role. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance Five (5) years of Cost Accounting experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate and explain at all levels financial matters to non Finance parties Leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills Ability to influence others, teamwork and customer oriented Must be fully bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written communication Proficient in systems (SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) Willing to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, when necessary Practically no exposure to disagreeable conditions.
