Job Description
Responsible to maintainpolicies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues. Understands the inter-working of the other architectural components, such as services and batch processes, and how they interact with the database.

· Able to perform complex DBA tasks, coordinate and participate in large database projects, migrations and understand SQL Server architecture.
· Maintains communication and consults with internal / external customers and/or vendors via phone, e-mail and/or in person.
· Frequently tunes servers for optimal performance and capacity and efficiency.
· Skilled in data depuration
· Transfers data in and out of the servers / databases as necessary to meet business / operational objectives.
· Develops and designs stored procedures, routines, tables and triggers.
· Implements and maintains database interfaces for data transmission to internal systems and/or vendors.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
· At least 2 – 4 years’ experience in database administration preferably
· Proficiency in the design, installation and maintenance of Microsoft SQL
· Skilled in developing, maintaining, managing and executing a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting on risks.
· Proven experience creating data reports to support organization’s business and operational needs.
· Supports, maintains, design, monitor and implements databases.
· Understands difference between types of database and their purposes
· Expertise with Database operations: truncate, delete, shrink, drop, checkpoints, etc.
· Ample troubleshooting skills with SQLServer
· Knowledgeable of database replications, types, purpose and components
· Familiarity with Clusters, failouts, clustering, active and non-active setups
