What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, the Sr Associate Training & Development builds and delivers training programs to support business needs. Role will lead and assist in on-the-job training programs of general GMP and non-GMP tasks, in live and or simulated production learning environments. Conducts classroom training. Works closely with assigned client groups to assess and meet training needs. Role is also responsible in assisting client groups with performance improvement initiatives and basic instructional design of materials and courses.
Provides effective delivery (in Spanish or English) of assigned trainings (ex: on-boarding, basic OJT, GMP related, etc.) as per identified business needs. Delivery may include a combination of classroom, one-on-one, and on-the-job training, sometimes complemented with eLearning activities and courses.
Conducts thorough needs analysis with area SMEs and in coordination with Site L&P management and resources; recommends training and non-training solutions as part of performance improvement interventions to support business needs.
Delivers initial on boarding training for new hires and transfers.
Monitors and improve training assignment structures and learning management systems to ensure effective management by end-users (ex: system reporting, metrics, data analysis, etc.)
Provides guidance to client on compliance and regulatory training matters (ex. Audit readiness checks or internal inspections)
Coaches and develops SME and area’s instructors for effective delivery and sustainment of trainings.
Assists clients in human performance assessments (ex: human error prevention and reduction) to identify training and non-training solutions.
Participates in the development/ implementation of corporate courses and initiatives with training impact (Ex: global project teams (if required)
Lead Business Partnering improvement projects and applies basic project management skills.
Partners with training resources to craft and develop training materials applying basic instructional design tools to new or existing course materials(s) and supervises their efficiency.
Facilitates meetings and proficiently lead decision-making processes within L&P and client groups

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Sr. Associate Training & Development professional we seek is a strong technical person with these qualifications.

Master’s degree

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in training and development.

Beyond that, the additional preferred qualifications are:
Experienced in training roles and instructional design.
Virtual Training experience
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experienced in ADDIES (Instructional Design of Training Materials, Needs Assessments, Task Analysis, etc.)
Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Industrial Psychology, Arts and /or Business Administration
Proven understanding on computer software programs including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Cognos, Teams, WebEx, Miro and LMS software systems.
Innovative and skillful at developing visual aids, job aids and multiple media, preferred.
Basic project management skills and skillful at leading multiple and challenging demands with resilience and flexibility.
Proven teamwork customer service orientation and influencing skills.
Able to accomplish results through others and influencing staff at all levels. Technical proficiency commensurate with assigned area(s) of responsibility
Knowledgeable in Human Performance Improvement Interventions, Human Error, Combination Product, Medical Devices, Data integrity and Operational Excellence.
Excellent interpersonal, group facilitation and presentation skills.
Self-drive for training and development.
Knowledgeable of basic precautions at leading activities that may involve handling chemicals or potentially hazardous materials or equipment.
Capable of lifting and/or moving small scale lab equipment, or furniture to set up for training programs, meetings and conferences (Ex: 35 pounds, 4 feet high)
Demonstrates understanding of Amgen’s business and culture, and ability to work optimally with staff at all levels
Availability to work flexible hours/ non-standard shifts (including weekends, first, second & third shift) may be required to meet production demands.
