Job Summary: Participates in the preparation of financial/accounting tasks such as, but not limited to: Month End Closing Activities, Risks and Opportunities, Forecasts and Budgets. Responsible of cost analysis, manufacturing variances, including but not limited to: labor, freight, material, and overheads. Coordinate and work with regulatory, statutory, compliance accounting tasks, based on Accounting Principles/US GAAP, FICAPs, SICs, SOX, PR Laws and Company Policies. Internal and External Auditors Coordinator. Prepare the Tax Fillings, including: monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Responsibilities: Participate in month end closing activities, risks and opportunities, forecasts and budgets meetings. Analyze manufacturing variances in freight, material usage, PPV, scrap and inventory adjustments and prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs. Maintain Cost Accounting System, analyze cost changes, and participate in Standard Cost Settings. Responsible for Fixed Assets: Assets Capitalization, CERS
- Projects Status, CAPEX / Investment, Depreciation Projections. Coordinate and assure to process the Government payments on time (Municipal Tax, Property Tax, and Income Tax). Assurance compliance with Sales & Use Tax regulations. Prepare and submit on time the Sales & Use Tax returns in SURI system. Prepare the Statutory Financial Statements and Supplemental Schedules under Act 163. Work with the local Controller and Corp Taxes to review and approve all fillings. SOX Coordinator. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance Finance Leader in the Annual Physical Inventory. Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Maintain the work area clean and organized. Support lean initiatives (5s, RIE’s, SQDIP, MDI, 9 step). Comply with company policies and procedures, including EHS and ISO requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and/or Finance Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting. Strong knowledge in computers (MS Office, Advanced Excel) Ability to handle multiple tasks, able to work in a dynamic environment. Able to prioritize, handle interruptions and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills. Collaborative team player with process improvement mindset. Strong written and oral communication skills (Spanish and English) Bilingual (English and Spanish) Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization and manage conflicting goals. Strong financial acumen, analytical, problem solving, data management, and business partnership skills. Strong understanding of financial concepts.
