:The Pharmacy Technician provides support to the Pharmacy Program and quality improvement initiatives. Job Requirements Schedule the Pharmacy Director Academic Detailing visits to providers. Prepare reports for Academic Detailing visits. Guide providers about the Medication Reconciliation Post-Discharge and the billing process. Follow up to providers for the 1111F code billing process. Follow up the hospital facilities to send the Discharge Summaries. Facilitate Discharge Summaries to other departments as requested. Conduct initial clinical review for drug utilization management requests using the established clinical review criteria. Refer cases to clinical pharmacist to perform medical interventions; when identifies that those do not meet the criteria review criteria or have a potential denial. Facilitates and guides providers, patients and families on the pharmacy benefits available. Complete and / or modifies in all their parts the pre-authorization of drugs via fax or phone. Assist to participating pharmacies in the drug claim processing. Contact prescriber / pharmacy when identifies cases with lack of information to be evaluated. Meets with the quality indicators established for Pharmacy Program. Provide member advising for the HEDIS measures as assigned by the client. Provides support on special projects for the Pharmacy Program as needed. Minimal Requirements: Associated degree in Pharmacy Technician License: Active Certified Pharmacy Technician practice the profession in Puerto Rico to conduct drug utilization review SDL2017
