About the role: What you need to know: • Evaluate risks, quote with underwriter supervision and refer analysis for underwriter approval.• Increase policy retention & Issuance Service Level Agreements in order to increase production and profitability.• Negotiate externally and internally the underwriting of the accounts and analyze financial statements, application and other documents of underwriting. Request additional information to the insurance brokers to analyze the risk, if it was deemed relevant.• Determine the acceptability of the risk and appropriate premium for coverage offered in accordance with the established underwriting guidelines.• Develop relationships with our key brokers and provide the best service possible and provide support in the training of Brokers and Insureds about our products.• Contribute to operational efficiencies
What we are looking for Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. This role would suit candidates that have limited exposure to underwriting concepts and experience, but are keen to further develop their knowledge in the insurance industry.Some experience in the insurance industry is preferredProficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish including verbal, written and negotiation.A proven track record of excellent customer service skills.Ability to write reports and business correspondence A look at our Benefits We're proud to offer a range of employee benefits and resources that help you protect what matters most - your health care, savings, financial protection and wellbeing.
