Full Time Opportunity General Description This position will be responsible for the development, coordination, assessment, and maintenance of comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery policies, standards, procedures, plans and risk management/validation practices necessary to ensure Popular's ability to recovery, in the event of an unforeseen disruption to facilities, technology systems or application, in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support and manage the overall business recovery process. Schedule and conduct planning sessions prior to the business continuity plan development deployment. Monitor the business recovery plan development and scheduled deliverables from each team. Ensure maintenance of the plans through annual review and team leader updates as changes take place. Perform a company-wide Business Impact Assessment (BIA). Perform a periodic and comprehensive assessment to ascertain the program effectiveness. Develop and give overview presentations internally and provide training to ensure continued awareness. Review and reconcile recovery plans. Summarize business continuity and disaster recovery results and provides reports to management. Schedule, attend, coordinate and conduct planned tests; documents problems; assigns problem resolution to individual(s); and monitors to ensure correction. Perform a business wide Crisis Scenarios Risk Assessment and ensures that a mitigation process is in place. Work with Disaster Recovery Team Members to ensure that problems are escalated to disaster event status when appropriate and to initiate recovery procedures when appropriate. Assist the Management in preparing reports for the Operational Risk Committee, the Risk Management Committee, and the Senior Management Team and Executives. Develop and/or revise business continuity risk management procedures, and/or manuals to train business units' liaisons and to incorporate new development and practices. Develop and conduct trainings to business unit's liaisons on the business continuity and disaster recovery risk topics and processes. Provide business and technical advice on business continuity risks and management issues. Education Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. Degree concentration in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Business Administration or Industrial Engineer. Experience Preferable 3-5 years previous work experience in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, IT audit or related experience. 1-3 years' experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or related field. Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) and be able to speak and write both languages fluently. Other Qualifications Accountability Analytical Discipline Business Excellence Change Agent Character Collaboration & Teamwork Customer Centric Self Development Other Qualificaitons Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning concepts and methodologies including Business Impact Analysis and Disaster Recovery planning. Risk Management background is essential Experience developing incident or emergency contingency plans. Experience in Incident Management, Crisis Management or Emergency Management duties. Strong project management skills. Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word etc.). Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast paced environment both independently and in a team setting. Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects. Ability to manage and prioritize projects and changing deadlines Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to design and provide trainings to users. Ability to plan and coordinate with different internal users and external providers. Strong business writing and verbal communication (and presentation) skills; in both Spanish and English. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Customer service oriented. Results oriented with sound decision making ability. Understanding of banking regulatory requirements. SDL2017
