Accounting Associate

Job Description Job Description: Collection calls and/or correspondence to Open Accounts Receivables. Provide customer service regarding collection issues. Customer account reconciliations and processing credit memos. Accountable for reducing delinquency and identify Accounts Receivable Write offs. Responsible for the accurateness of AR aging and related metrics. Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting Department. Accounting Support: Checks and verifies accounting transactions, prepares invoices and vouchers, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts receivable records (cash application and collections). Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May reconcile difficult accounts. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting. Skills Required Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and IBM AS400 or similar programs. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. Excellent verbal, written communication in Spanish and English. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty. Collections and Customer Service experience Experience Required 1 to 3 years experience in a similar role. Education Required Undergraduate education in Accounting from an accredited university.
